The ECONOMY.4 is the smaller version of the BLACK.4 controller. It has been streamlined in certain areas to focus on the essentials, making it possible to create simple and affordable lighting systems for small and medium-sized models. It is significantly smaller and lighter, but is limited to lower power outputs and omits certain safety features in favor of cost-effectiveness. However, four functions can still be controlled here:

Channel 1: Strobe Lights The strobes are very bright, white flashing lights. They are usually located at the wingtips or at the rear of the fuselage. These are often housed in the same enclosure as the position lights.
Channel 2: Navigation/Position Lights These divide the surrounding space into 120° sectors. Green on the right, red on the left, and white at the rear. These lights are usually on continuously, though some also flash.
Channel 3: Beacon The red warning lights are mounted on the top and bottom of the aircraft, often also on the vertical stabilizer, and indicate “Caution: Engine On.” They are used both as a hard strobe light (ACL) and as a light that fades in and out (simulated rotating light).
Channel 4: Landing lights These are always WHITE and directed forward. They are usually mounted on the wings, in the engine nacelle, or on the landing gear.

The Economy.4 does not have a separate battery input for the lights. Therefore, small lighting systems can be connected directly to a high-voltage receiver. However, please note the specifications regarding the receiver’s load capacity. Alternatively, a separate battery can be connected via the included Y-cable. Despite its compact size and focus on cost-effectiveness, the ECONOMY.4 is equipped with some features of the uniLIGHT PLUS family. It can be programmed and configured using the uniLIGHT DESK. The button can only be used to change the flashing pattern in solo mode and the speed of the pattern.

Please note that we cannot provide warranty coverage for damaged outputs/power stages. Use a BLACK.4 with short-circuit protection to prevent potential failures.
