This small, powerful RC telemetry sensor measures and transmits voltage, current, power, capacitance, energy, altitude, and vario
The UniSens-E is a pure telemetry sensor designed specifically for all electric models. It is so small and lightweight, yet so powerful, that it can be used in almost any model.
In line with our philosophy of supporting as many systems as possible, the UniSens-E also supports Jeti Duplex, Multiplex M-Link, Graupner HoTT, Futaba, JR DMSS, FrSky, Spektrum (via Spektrum adapter), and PowerBox Core.
The telemetry system used only needs to be specified once in the UniSens-E settings. This can be done either via our PC program "UniSens-E Tool" or with the UniDisplay. HoTT GAM is selected by default.
To change the settings via PC or for firmware updates, a suitable USB interface such as our Part No. 2550 or an existing USB connection cable from Jeti, Multiplex, or Graupner is required. See also the manual.
Without additional sensors, the UniSens-E can measure the entire power system, i.e., voltage, current, and capacitance.
Since a high-resolution barometric (air pressure) altitude sensor is also integrated, the UniSens-E provides not only altitude measurement but also a vario.
Extensive alarms can also be programmed, which are reported via telemetry through the respective transmitter.
The UniSens-E is available with various connector systems, so that normally no soldering is required. The current measurement range extends symmetrically in both directions. This means that the pin configuration—i.e., whether the battery has a male or female connector on the positive terminal—does not matter. The measurement direction is simply set during setup.
All measurement values from the UniSens-E can also be viewed live directly via our UniDisplay, and all settings and alarms can be programmed.
Whether it’s a glider, aerobatic plane, helicopter, HLG, or slow flyer, the UniSens-E can be used in virtually any application thanks to its low weight and compact size. Of course, the UniSens-E isn’t just suitable for model aircraft. It can also be installed in RC boats, RC cars, and more.
With the UniSens-E, you are acquiring a high-performance, universal RC telemetry sensor that leverages the capabilities of modern electronics to serve as a small yet invaluable assistant in managing your RC models.
And here’s what the UniSens-E can do:
Complete monitoring of electric motors with current, voltage, power, capacitance, and altitude measurement
Full telemetry support for Jeti Duplex, Multiplex M-Link, Graupner HoTT, Futaba, JR DMSS, FrSky, Spektrum (via Spektrum adapter), and PowerBox Core
Altitude measurement with automatic zeroing after power-up
Barometric altimeter
Current measurement range depending on version up to 55 A / 140 A / 280 A in both directions, voltage up to 60 V
(However, the maximum current rating of the connectors used must not be exceeded!)
Connection for receiver signal to remotely control certain functions
Direct connection to a GPS logger possible for data recording in a file
Measurement of receiver battery voltage
Power supply via receiver
Current status is indicated by an LED
View measurement values live directly with our UniDisplay
Parameter settings can be configured via PC, UniDisplay, and telemetry
PC software for settings and updates (SM UniSens-E Tool) is available here
Free firmware updates via PC using our USB interface (Order No. 2550) or existing USB cables from manufacturers such as Jeti, Multiplex, or Graupner (the firmware file can be found here)
Can be used virtually anywhere thanks to its compact size and low weight.
