The tow coupling is particularly suitable for models with FES motors, since the tow rope cannot be routed through the nose of the fuselage due to the motor.

The coupling can be installed at any point on the fuselage; the user must decide on the installation location themselves—we do not provide any specifications or recommendations regarding this!

Additionally, a gliding hook can be inserted into the tow coupling. This allows the model to be glided over the edge of the slope during alpine flying.

The sliding insert can be reliably secured against loss with a spring pin (e.g., in the event of unintentional activation of the switch during sliding).

• Made of high-strength AW 7075 aluminum
• Brass body with a very strong spring and a 3.0 mm steel pin
• Miniature Bowden cable with steel core and 1.3 mm steel cable / galvanized
• Servo mount made of black GRP (with abutment for the Bowden cable) for 20 mm standard servo
• 4.0 mm wooden board for gluing into the fuselage and mounting the servo mount
• 2 wooden glue-on pieces for routing the Bowden cable
• M2 clevis (steel cable is soldered directly into the clevis)
• M3 screws and lock nuts for servo installation
• Very low profile, allowing the batteries, for example, to be installed above the coupling

By using the Bowden cable, the servo for actuating the pin can be mounted at any conceivable location in the fuselage. This opens up entirely new possibilities.

The tow hook has an angled 5.0 mm stainless steel pin, which is pinned and glued to the insert. Thanks to the oval shape, the insert can be inserted very easily into the tow coupling from below. This works right away, guaranteed. The pin then locks it in place.

Likewise, the oval shape makes it very easy to position the rope loop when attaching the tow rope. The loop is essentially guided into place and cannot twist. This works right away—also promised. Locking is then achieved by the pin.

ATTENTION: Please note that the locking pin is spring-loaded. This means that after releasing the tow rope, the button/switch on the remote control must be returned to its original position, otherwise the servo will have to constantly work against the spring force!

Length of the Bowden cable / steel cable = 500 mm / 550 mm (other lengths can also be manufactured if necessary)
