Some of you may have had a pack catch fire before, and everyone knows just how dangerous that can be. The ro-safety is THE protection for LiPo batteries—THE ONE THAT ACTUALLY WORKS. Developed by Tom Mast, a renowned aerospace engineer and avid model aircraft enthusiast. The idea came to him when his house nearly went up in flames due to a LiPo fire.

The ro-safety is designed so that the batteries can be charged and, of course, stored inside it. The charging cables are routed to the outside through a flame-proof opening. In the event of a battery fire, the resulting internal pressure can escape to the outside. This happens through the upper ventilation holes, while simultaneously cooling the smoke. Temperatures inside the box can reach up to 800°C in the event of a fire. Thanks to the box’s special insulation, the bottom and side walls heat up to a maximum of 80°C. The escaping gas does not exceed 150°C.
