3D aerobatic motor glider with a wingspan of 1512 mm, made from virtually indestructible, carbon-fiber-reinforced extruded polyolefin foam (EPO). Equipped with a C2820-1450 brushless motor, a 7x6" folding propeller, an R-20B Plus ESC, and 4 metal-gear micro servos. The rudder, floating elevator, and floating wing halves are controlled. For real 3D aerobatics, you need real control surfaces. We couldn’t make them any larger, so Twisty rotates the entire halves of the nearly elliptical wing independently of each other. With the elevator → flaperon mix, even sharper turns are possible for the most extreme flights.

Twisty is at home on slopes, but it also delivers great performance on smaller terrain. All parts always fit into the original box, which protects your model from dust and damage during transport. Whether you unpack the model in the mountains, on a seaside cliff, on a dune, or in a park, it always delivers unique experiences.
Where the hills aren’t too steep and there’s no steady, strong wind, you’ll appreciate the electric drive. The powerful C2820-1450 brushless motor, paired with a 7×6" folding propeller and a suitable 3S LiPo battery, will take you up into the clouds anytime, anywhere. The programmable R-20SB Plus ESC takes care of that, too.
Twisty has a wingspan of 1512 mm with a wing area of 23.8 dm² and a length of 1005 mm. Its flying weight is only 750 g. Twisty can be assembled quickly and easily, making it easy to transport and store. So you can set off on an adventure at any time. It is available as an RTF kit with an orange or green finish.
With our new 3D aerobatic motor glider TWISTY, you can have lots of fun on flat terrain and on slopes. The glider not only has large control surfaces, as is typical for 3D models. It not only has a floating elevator, but for perfect maneuverability, it even rotates the entire wing halves. TWISTY is at home on mountain slopes, over sea cliffs, or dunes, where it can really open up in strong, steady winds. So you can enjoy it even where the hills aren’t so high and the wind is only light, we’ve installed a powerful brushless motor with a folding propeller.
The model’s fuselage is made of highly durable EPO foam (extruded polyolefin) with rigid internal carbon fiber reinforcements. A C2820-1450 brushless motor with a 7x6" folding propeller and a KAVAN R-20SB Plus ESC is installed in the nose. The canopy is removable and is secured at the front with a pin and at the rear with a mechanical latch. There is enough space in the nose for a flight battery and a receiver. The space under the wing houses metal-gear micro servos for controlling the wing halves, the ailerons, and the elevator. The tail surfaces are controlled via Bowden cables, and the wing halves via adjustable linkages with ball pins.
The model’s wing, made of EPO foam, consists of two carbon-fiber-reinforced sections. The wing halves are inserted into the carbon-fiber tube connectors and secured with screws. They are controlled independently by two servos via short straight wire linkages. To facilitate neutral trim adjustment, triangular markings on the fuselage indicate the center position of the trailing edge.
The tail units are also made of EPO foam with carbon fiber reinforcements. There is a floating horizontal stabilizer. Its halves are attached to the carbon fiber tube connectors and secured with screws. The model is powered by a C2820-1450 brushless motor with a 20A KAVAN R-20SB Plus ESC.
For power, you will need a 3-cell LiPo pack with a capacity of approx. 1300 mAh and a minimum discharge rate of 30C. Select a specific model to ensure the correct center of gravity is maintained as closely as possible without additional ballast.
To control the model, you need at least a 6-channel RC system that allows for independent control of the wing halves (ailerons) via two servos. To increase maneuverability (“sharper” turns), it features an elevator-to-flaperon mix (camber). The manual naturally also includes a detailed table with proven standard control surface settings (including mixes) so you can easily prepare the Twisty for flight.
The ARF kit includes: the finished fuselage, wings, and tail sections made of EPO foam with the pre-installed motor, propeller, ESC, and 4 servos, as well as the manual.
