Your favorite PULSE 2200 model is back in the V2 version—nimble and agile, with new, stronger and faster servos and a host of other improvements, such as precise ball joints on the control linkages, so you can enjoy plenty of fun on the slope and on the flat. The PULSE 2200 V2 features a wing with ailerons and flaps, a robust carbon-reinforced EPO foam construction, and thanks to a 600–800W brushless motor, it has plenty of power for aerobatics and slope flying. The perfect recreational model for any advanced pilot to let loose with.
The model’s fuselage is made of highly durable EPO foam (extruded polyolefin) with solid internal reinforcements. A C3548-750 brushless electric motor with an 11×8-inch folding propeller and a KAVAN R-50SB Plus ESC—featuring a powerful BEC regulator and advanced programming options, which is required to power the 6 onboard servos—is mounted in the nose. The canopy is removable and is secured at the front with a pin and at the rear with a magnet. In the nose, there is ample space for the flight battery and the receiver. The elevator and rudder servos are located in the tail boom; the control surfaces are controlled by short, straight linkages.
The model’s wing, made of EPO foam, consists of two sections with carbon spars, the protruding parts of which also serve as wing connectors and fit into the duralumin housings in the fuselage. The wing halves are secured with a plastic screw. The ailerons (reinforced with carbon strips) and the flaps are controlled independently by two servos with short, straight wire linkages.
The tail units are also made of EPO foam with carbon strips. The two-piece horizontal stabilizer is attached to the fin with a carbon strip and a pair of screws to simplify assembly and disassembly.
The model is powered by a C3548-750 class brushless motor with a 50 A KAVAN R-50SB Plus ESC.
For power, you will need a 4-cell LiPo pack with a capacity of 2600–4000 mAh and a minimum discharge rate of 30C. Choose a specific type to ensure the best possible center of gravity without additional ballast.
To control the model, you can also use a 6-channel RC set without special functions—in the basic version, the ailerons and flaps are always connected to a single channel via cables with multi-pin connectors. Of course, it is ideal to use at least a 7-channel computer-controlled RC set that allows for independent control of the ailerons and flaps via two servos and a mix for the butterfly brake. In this setup, both ailerons move up and both flaps move down. In this case, the aileron and flap servos must be connected separately. The manual also includes a detailed table with proven standard control surface deflections, so you can easily prepare the Pulse 2200 V2 for flight, even if it is your first model with “full wing mechanization.”
