The latest creation from the design team of Walter Extra and Mirco Pecorari, the Extra NG, is an impressive interpretation of the modern aerobatic aircraft. Extreme Flight has received the official license to reproduce this wonderful aircraft for the model-building community. Our design team did its best to preserve the sleek lines, racy appearance, and cosmetic details of the full-scale NG, gently drawing and stretching the contours to make it an amazing flying model.
Extreme Flight team pilot Jase Dussia describes the NG as equipped with the best elements of the EF-Laser and the Slick 580, two aircraft at the pinnacle of modern RC aerobatics. As such, the Extreme Flight Extra NG is a completely unrestricted high-performance aircraft capable of dominating at the highest levels of invitational aerobatics competition.
Equipped with our latest technology, the NG represents the state of the art in RC aircraft design, utilizing advanced space-age composite laminates that Extreme Flight pioneered over a decade ago and has continued to refine with each new version. The NG airframe is among the lightest and most stable currently available on the market. It features our quick-assembly mounting system for the wings, tail, and canopy, as well as a removable rudder, allowing the NG to be set up and taken down at the airfield in record time and transported in a modestly sized vehicle.
The Extra NG features two beautiful color schemes: one is the red/silver scheme of the full-size NG, and the second is a highly visible blue/white/Cub yellow/silver scheme, both rendered in the style typical of Ultracote.
G10 composite control horns, titanium turnbuckles, and genuine Dubro ball joints are included in the competition-grade hardware package, along with carbon-fiber wings and spars, landing gear, and tailwheel assembly.
With the new power sets from Scorpion Power Systems, you can push this giant aircraft to its limits even in electric mode. Enormous power paired with precise throttle response and reasonable flight times of up to 8 minutes (3D)—these are the specs we’ve been searching for. This makes classic aerobatics or even extreme 3D flying simply fun.
The Extra NG is the first new version to include a video assembly manual. In this three-part series, Jase and John Dussia assemble the brand-new EXTREME FLIGHT 35% EXTRA NG, configure it, and explain the methods they use to prepare a winning competition aircraft. Also included is a walkthrough of their EXTREME FLIGHT 104-inch LASER EXP, the very aircraft Jase flew to victory at the 2019 XFC V2, Clover Creek Invitational, and Tucson Shootout. This title is the first in a series of video assembly guides that allow us to delve deeper into the assembly process and provide our valued customers with more details and useful information than the traditional printed paper manual. We hope that the video format will be a more effective tool for end users to unlock the full potential of their model. We have included a table of contents that allows the builder to quickly locate specific assembly steps as needed.
