Our A40 external rotor motors are available in both 8-pole and 14-pole versions. The A40 motors were specifically developed for use in medium-sized motorized and glider models up to 4 kg, such as sport aircraft, dogfighters, fun planes, and aerobatic aircraft. In combination with our proven 6.7:1 planetary gearbox, there are also three versions available for larger electric gliders with a takeoff weight of up to approximately 10 kg.

This weight-optimized high-end motor, weighing just 265g, fits perfectly in dogfighters up to 2.2 kg with 4S or FES power systems for gliders up to 4.5 kg.
